The House of Harley is an independent publisher based in London UK. The original four-issue run of Ugly Mug - ‘best indie buy’ (NME’s Andrew Collins) - was published in the late 1980s. After a 30-year diversion into improvised music as a member of Mystery Dick and Pestrepeller, editor and publisher Harley R revived Ugly Mug in 2021 as an annual anthology, packed with inspired stories and eye-popping art for free-thinking grown-ups.
