The collection the two volumes will comprise of his one-shots and each page will be rendered in exquisite detail to showcase his splendid artwork – each panel worthy of being framed. Noroi Michiru’s aesthetic is impressive in that it conforms to Western expectations, both amongst illustrated covers and also pages of narrative – focused, realistic anatomy opposed to more exaggerated, fanciful forms. His concepts, artwork and narratives are admirable as the efforts of Junji Ito, but his circulation, and consequently his fanbases, has mainly been exclusive to Japan.

The works in this collection are full of visceral, hypnotic moments which lure the reader into haunting new worlds of the unexpected, where a dream-laden reality that could only be anticipated, grasped at unrelenting, but never predicted, and become more real than real.
