Featuring Ganzeer’s critical essay in comix form, MOUTHFAIL, originally created for the catalog of the Carlos Museum’s AND I MUST SCREAM exhibition produced in 2022. MOUTHFAIL explores notions of physical and psychological freedoms and how (or why) artmaking may be involved. The work went on to win the prestigious Kahil Award out of Beirut, Lebanon. In this issue of THE CURSE OF I, the comix is paired with Ganzeer’s essay, OH ART, WHERE ART THOU? which touches upon the awesome power contained within some of our most overlooked works of art.
