Pathogen is a collection of images by Anuj Shrestha that confronts, provokes, but ultimately delights.

The works in Pathogen rarely offer certainty. Instead, they resist resolution, embracing ambiguity as a means of navigating the contradictions, anxieties and moral complexities of the present.

Responding to the shifting landscape of current events, Shrestha’s work meditates on power, violence, memory and belief. Worlds of catastrophe, absurdity and quiet intimacy unfold simultaneously; scenes of brutality are counterbalanced by gestures of tenderness.

Competing truths remain suspended, allowing the viewer to inhabit uncertainty without surrendering hope.
