Amanda Vähämäki was born in 1981 in Tampere, Finland. She lived in Italy where she founded, with, among others, Andrea Bruno, Davide Catania and Michelangelo Setola, the Canicola collective. In addition to her participation in the magazine of the group, she signed several small books or collections of drawings for Canicola: Strani frutti (2004), Cani gatti maschi femmine (2005), Re della miseria (2005), The garden (2006). Published in 2005 in Italy, Campo di baba benefited from a simultaneous translation into French, Swedish and Finnish thanks to a cooperation between Frémok, Serieteket in Stockholm and Daada editions by Marko Turunen. Souvlaki circus, one of his many projects, consists of a book and an exhibition produced with Michelangelo Setola.
