Gytha Worker's Cooperative is a democratic indie comics publisher committed to building a better comics industry: one rooted in fair compensation, sustainable working conditions, and a higher quality of life for the people who make the work.

As a workers’ cooperative, we are governed by our employee-members, including both administrators and long-term artists. In a culture that persistently undervalues arts labour—and, increasingly, labour of all kinds—we believe another way of working is not only possible, but necessary.

Our flagship publication, Gytha Quarterly, is produced in a tankobon-inspired format that brings together the immediacy of a magazine with the permanence of a book. We see it as a way to give indie comics a more substantial, shelf-worthy form; one that supports thoughtful presentation, ambitious work, and the connection between artists and readers
