Good quality. Fancy paper.
A collection of two short color stories and one longer black & white piece.
"Spiritual Awakening" first published in Told To Tell #4, 2022. Four color pages. All about the unravelling and re-ravelling of my little pea brain around the ideas of the Church of the Subgenius and Discordianism. Is it the 70's again? The 90's? Neither! What better time to explore these topics than several decades after their heyday? Besides, these nutjob religions are timeless!
"One More Day" a brand new 13 page story that deals and plays with time, memory, repetition, experience, and whatnot. It's really pretty good. I'm almost satisfied with how it turned out. I'm never satisfied, but yeah. I kinda like this one. It's a stream of unconsciousness, visually lugubrious joie de vivre, a concerted lack of focus, accidental hyperfocus, deeply shallow insights, random thoughts that fall apart just before they begin to make sense, chaotic order, ridiculously inconsistent imagery reflecting my initial perceptions melting into feeble attempts at depiction, and some pigeons. Climb inside my head for a little bit and get uncomfortable.
"Fool's Errand" another one first published in Told To Tell. This was in #5, 2023. Four color pages about Don Quixote de la Mancha, desire, disappointment and doing stuff anyway because you just gotta. Stuff like making art, for instance.
Other Important Selling Points:
- Nancy makes cameo appearances in all three stories.
- There's a gorilla on the cover.
- It is a comic book you do not already have.
- It's only ten bucks.
