With his blond powder puff, Cowboy Henk could be the surreal counterpart of Tintin. Politically incorrect, sometimes schoolboy but also tender, Cowboy Henk is a 30-year-old hero, a true pop and absurd icon!

An essential figure in Flemish culture, he appeared every week from 1981 to 2012 in the large-circulation Flemish weekly Humo.
And when he crossed the border, Cowboy Henk was published in Art Spiegelman's cult RAW magazine, before making appearances in France in Fluide Glacial, Psikopat or Hara Kiri in the 80s and 90s.
A lover of nonsense, and a direct heir to Belgian surrealism, Cowboy Henk contains as many references to classic American comics as to Dadaism. Herr Seele admits practicing a cow humor like Magritte and his cow painting: painted with the tail of a cow.
