Collected Drawings: Ages 5-10 - Liby Hays

Artist Liby Hays enters the Randomverse by way of her surviving childhood notebooks. Hays has assembled fragmentary accounts of Critter Lane, a paracosm, or expansive imaginary world, developed with her friend Chris Langfield (@chrislangfield) over the course of grade school. The comics and drawings star Teebeo and Vanahah, egotistical celebrity critters with explosive temperaments. Alongside other product designs, franchise ideas, and slasher fiction (rejected by the second grade teacher for being too scary,) these works provide insight into Baby Liby’s twisted psyche. •••••••••••••••
