More about the original Exhibition:

EXTRA LARGE AND OUT OF CONTEXT was a benefit exhibition of giant-sized comics page prints held at Lula Cafe and online in the Spring of 2025 in conjunction with the Tongues book tour. The show was organized by Anders Nilsen and featured large scale prints of several cartoonists’ original artwork. Participating artist’s include Yvan Alagbé, Charles Burns, Geneviève Castrée, CF, Kevin Huizenga, Jack Kirby, Aidan Koch, Marijpol, Anders Nilsen, Laura Park, and Chris Ware.

The prints are in an edition of three for each image and are big — most are roughly 32” x 44” or so — every detail, every gesture, printed in archival pigment on watercolor paper. And it was a benefit. Proceeds went to Doctors Without Borders and the ACLU
